Hyundai Heavy Industries(HHI) announced on March 7 that it joined Industry Leaders in Growing California’s Solar Industry.
Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has become the newest member of the nation’s largest state solar power trade association, the California Solar Energy Industries Association (CALSEIA).
“We are proud to have HHI join CALSEIA to support its mission of expanding the use of clean, solar technologies throughout the state. CALSEIA members are recognized as being true leaders in the California market as they promote high standards within the industry and advocate fair policies for solar consumers. We look forward to working closely with HHI in continuing this work,” says Bernadette Del Chiaro, executive director of CALSEIA.
"We are delighted to be a new member of CALSEIA representing the California solar market, the largest among American states. Thanks to the recent ITC extension and Net Energy Metering 2.0, we strongly believe California will play an important role in the US solar market considering its market size and the on-going paradigm shift. HHI will join forces with CALSEIA and its customers/partners to support solar policies in California," says James Kim, senior vice president of HHI's Green Energy Division.
HHI, the world’s largest shipbuilder and a major solar energy provider, is operating solar cell and module factories in Eumseong, South Korea. With comprehensive module types, HHI has a proven track record of supplying high-quality solar modules for a variety of applications ranging from residential, industrial, and commercial to utility-scale. HHI's Solar R&D Center is accredited both by UL and VDE. Recently, HHI has launched UL 1,500 V solar modules which can bring BOS costs down significantly.
HHI joins CALSEIA after being carefully vetted and approved through the association’s application process, which ensures member companies to adhere to industry best practices.
