KR has delivered a range of bespoke practical client seminars which have focused on each customer’s vessel types.

The seminars are one of a range of innovations introduced by the class society to help differentiate KR from its competitors by adding value to its clients’ business.

At the request of shipyards and ship design companies in China, KR’s Dry Cargo Ship Team held a technical seminar on the technology of an Open Hatch Type Woodchip Carrier. The attendees discussed the structural analysis of a 57K DWT Open Hatch Type Woodchip Carrier which KR had conducted and the problems encountered during construction. KR has delivered a training session to the staff of passenger ship companies and relevant authorities, on the asafety management training of passenger ships. (Busan office and Gamcheon office of KR, 8 June, 2016)
