- LNG Engineering Organization agrees on joint development of small-scale LNG carriers with Lloyd's Register, the world's top classification society.

Small and middle sized marine equipment enterprises made a joint technology agreement about LNG carriers with Lloyd's Register, the world's top classification society based in the United Kingdom.

At Gastech 2017 held on April 5th in Tokyo, Japan, LNG Engineering Organization entered into an agreement for joint development of the 1,100class offshore LNG carrier. LNG Engineering Organization, formed by 50 marine equipment companies in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do in 2015, had been developing technology for LNG carriers to meet the IMO environmental regulations. After their constant efforts to modularize and standardize LNG equipment, the organization's technology became acknowledged by Lloyd's Register.

Leveraging the joint development with Lloyd's Register and certification, LNG Engineering Organization plans to carry out positive sales activities in Southeast Asia including Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, India as well as Europe and the Americas.
