All cylinders flammable and poisonous materials used in the United States should take inspection and approval according to the standard of U.S. DOT for free circulation.
KR, the one of world-leading recognized organization is the only one who is authorized as both an independent inspection agency and a designated inspection agency in Asia.
Most of inspection agencies recognized by U.S. Department of Transportation have one of the two. There are only three organizations all over the world including KR who have both qualifications.
KR, as both an independent inspection agency and a designated inspection agency, can make inspection for more various DOT cylinders for flammable and poisonous materials.
Consequently, it is expected for Korean DOT manufacturers to briskly export to the U.S as well as China where over 30 percent of DOT manufacturers in the world are located.
Dr. B.S.Park, Chairman and CEO of KR said, “This designation as IIA and DAA from the U.S. DOT is very meaningful. From now on, we will put our devotion to another authorization for an inspection agency given from Canada and Europe as well as inspection for flammable and poisonous materials cylinders for the road and railroad use according to the United Nations, so that one-stop inspection service will be provided.”
