Distilling Sea Water Into Fresh Water With 2 Models

Introduction of item

DongHwa Entec's fresh-water generator (FWG) produces fresh water from seawater and comes in two models - low-pressure evaporation type and reverse osmosis type.

Currently, most merchant ships in the world are equipped with the low-pressure evaporation type to produce fresh water using steam or jacket water, which is a waste heat source from the engine. These FWGs are largely divided into shell & tube type and plate type.

In this system, seawater is vaporized under vacuum by an external heat source and salinity is removed from the vaporized seawater and fresh water is obtained by condensation, maintaining a salinity level not to exceed 0~10ppm. FWGs consist of vaporizer, condenser, demister, salinometer, distillate pump, ejector and steam injector.

DongHwa's fresh-water generator is actively exported to Japan, China, Singapore, and Brazil.
