Since its establishment in May 2000, Techcross has been growing into a leading company in electrolytic water management through continuous research and development. The Electro Cleen™ System (ECS) by Techcross integrates the environmental paradigm with the shipping industry by obtaining the word's first in-principle Basic Approval from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in 2006. Final and Type Approvals were obtainedin 2008.

TECHCROSS has established various records including for delivering the industry's first explosion-proof type ballast water management system and also for the world's first installation on a VLCC (very large crude carrier); emerging as a leader in the marine environmental industry. Its own technology is one of the most effective electrolysis disinfection methods available which is able to prevent residual microorganisms from propagating because of the electrical sterilization that occurs as soon as the ballast water passes through the electrolysis chamber.

TECHCROSS has focused on the fact that ballast water and sediments transported by ships are key pathways for foreign organisms to move from one area to another, potentially causing great harm to the marine ecosystem. TECHCROSS continues to exert its efforts to develop the most effective technology for protecting the marine ecosystem that can apply to all sizes and types of ships.
